Here’s the story:

My name is Matthias Barker.   I’m a professional psychotherapist with thousands of hours of research and clinical experience in dealing with acute traumas.

Here’s why this is important for you:

When you get to the home screen, you are going to see several different tabs available with different actives inside...

Activity #1 (10 minutes)

We are going to begin with the tab titled: “LOVE MAPS”

For igniting intimacy and connection, it’s important to expand the ways we know our partner and explore their inner world. In this activity, you are going to swipe through the deck to see if you can answer the question as it relates to your partner. After you or your partner answer, switch roles. There’s no keeping score, the goal is to find areas of unfamiliarity and expand our knowledge of our partner.

Activity #2 (30 minutes)

Go to the tab labeled: “OPEN-ENDED QUESTIONS”

Both of you take a moment to scroll through the options for questions and “star” your favorites with the star icon on the bottom. After a few moments, and when you both are ready, take turns asking each other an open ended question and explore that topic as far as you like. Sometimes one question can open up a conversation that will fill up the entire time, other times you may explore several different topics over the 30 minutes going back-and-fourth 3 or 5 times. The goal is to enjoy exploring your partner’s perspective and opening up meaningful conversation.

Activity #3 (5 minutes)

Go to the tab labeled: “OPPORTUNITY”

Each of you, without discussing or letting the other see, scroll through the deck and pick a secret gesture of affection you plan to give/do for your partner tomorrow. Be creative and maybe jump outside of your comfort zone!
